Membership FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions.

The Property Council of Australia offers two types of memberships across all states: Core and Associate.

Core is for companies that invest, (directly and indirectly) develop, finance own or manage property either as its core business or a corporate activity and the cost of membership depends on the market value of the property. Benefits are available for all employees in the state of membership.

Associate membership is for those companies engaged in a profession or business associated with the property industry and their cost of membership depends on the total number of employees in the state of the membership applied. Benefits are available for all employees in the state of membership.

The Property Council of Australia provides corporate memberships for small or start up company’s, which is suitable for sole traders with a registered ABN. We currently do not provide membership for individuals.

The Property Council of Australia membership subscription runs from 1 July to 30 June.

Membership benefits are available once your invoice has been paid.

As our membership is state based, you can only receive member benefits in the state that you have membership in. Your state-based membership includes discounted rates for our Academy courses, Research products as well as our National events such as Property Congress and the Retirement Summit.

If you have a National presence as an Associate member, we recommend you take out membership in the states where you will utilise and activate.

We do offer a National membership option to Core members who have a market value of more than $1bn and the annual fee is over $60k.

Membership renewal invoices are sent out to all financial members in early May with a 1 July due date.

Payment options include: Cheque, BPAY or BPOINT. If you wish to make a credit card payment, please use BPOINT (surcharge will apply). Details of payment options are provided on your invoice.

Membership benefits are activated through your company’s name and state of operation. Please ensure that when you set up an account that your company name is highlighted when selecting. A membership number is not required.
